A Week of Crochet

I found a crochet shawl pattern that I am completely gah-gah over!  It's called the South Bay Shawlette from Lion Brand's website.  Who doesn't love a freebie!!
Look at the back!!  I added the trim on it, using some Noro.  The red actually has a little gold thread in it.  I got it for Christmas from a fellow yarn lover.
Looks just as pretty as a scarf.  Well, I liked it so much that I made another in this pretty green yarn I have been holding onto for about five years now.
I believe it is some by Caron Collection.  The little ruffle is some hand dyed wool I got from SAFF.  I really should do better on keeping track of the yarns I use in my projects.  I always seem to loose the labels by the time I finish something up, and my brain just can't remember names that well.
It just looks like fall...I cannot wait, although I am enjoying spending Sundays at my folks floating in the swimming pool.  LOL!

I will say, if you like making those half granny square shawls, you will love this pattern.  It is pure stress free, movie watchin', yarn pron fun!  And yes, I have another started in a sock yarn, which I nabbed at Miss Bab's booth at Saff for $10 a skein!  I don't have any pictures of it yet, but trust me, their coming!

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning a my dirty house and crocheting.  It rained all day, pure heaven, a nice clean house and then crochet time.  Rooster Crochet Time!

Their so full of happiness.  I actually made them for an etsy order.  I had fun doing all the little embroidery stitches on them.

I'm off now, going to try and squeeze in some more crochet before Monday gets here!

Peace

Dawn

  12. I had seen the shawlette pattern on Lion Brand's website and didn't think that much of it even after seeing all the favorable reviews. Then I saw the shawlettes you made and now I can't wait to get started and make a couple of my own! Your shawlettes are gorgeous!

  19. What pattern did you use to make the edging. The shawl is nice but the edging takes it to a different level!
