Scrappy and Happy!

I am so addicted it's not even funny!  I started this blanket for my nephew.  He likes bright colors.  I found this pattern on ravelry and had to jump right in!  It's called "Ribbon Afghan" and you can find the pattern here

This is the perfect project for using up those leftovers, which I have gobs of!!

So...while working on this, I was surfing around ravelry and came across another pattern that is also perfect for scrap yarn.  I immediately loved it, so much that I had to go ahead and give it a shot for myself.
OMG!  I cannot decide which I like better.  The neat thing about this is you can use those little tiny scraps of yarn!  You can find the pattern here.  It is so much fun to work on.
See what I mean?  It's a draw isn't it?!

I'm off to sit back and crochet my afternoon away!  Tooodles!

These are both just beautiful!!!! I love the colours and randomness of them so much!!!
It looks complex to make however, is it difficult?

Love this pattern but I am more mesmerized by the Babette in the header! After 'going back in time', I found where you had posted about your Babette. I just finished my first Babette but I don't recall the directions with the changing of colors in the middle of the row. Was this your personal change? I love the colors and I think I will try to "copy" next time.

Beautiful afghans Dawn!I use up 'bits and pieces' of yarn in my chevron garter stitch throws...2 rows in the pattern and nice and easy :-) But I might be tempted to try out these patterns that you've done here...lol

Both of these are amazing patterns Dawn! I think it's the yarns you use that make them even more exciting. You find the most interesting yarns that fit any pattern. I bet these are quick to make too! :')Love 'em!

How refreshingly fun! Not what you are typically seeing on the crochet blogs right now. Love it!

I think they're both great, but sort of find the 2nd one more visually interesting - might have to try it out myself with some scraps!
