Loom Flowers - Oh My!!

Greetings!  Phoebe and I are enjoying a little bit of down time on the back porch.  I had come out here to take some pictures of my newest scarf (pictured) and she followed me.  Such a pretty girl!!  And beautiful against a backdrop of purples!

So here is what I have been up to lately.  Yes, that little square loom I showed in a previous post created a monster!!!  I was so happy to get so many comments pointing me in the direction of patterns and ideas!!  Thank you all for that!  And if that weren't enough I went to pinterest and did a search for "flower looms".  O-M-G!!!  The inspiration was unbelievable.  So, last week I came home from Hobby Lobby with the coolest loom kit  in hand.  It had squares, circles and octagons in all different sizes.

Now mind you, it is full of mistakes, but I still love it.  I used this mohair I had since SAFF of two years ago.  I really like it paired with the purple.  Only problem, if you make a boo-boo it's a bitch (yeah I said it!) to pull it out!!

I freak-in love it!  SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!  And it is so feather light.  I know the first day of summer isn't even here, but I kinda wish it were fall so I can start to wear it.

I can't stop taking pictures of it!

I am totally out of control!!!

I have done a little experimenting with some different yarns with the looms.
I kinda like the orange one on the bottom.

Not so sure about the variegated yarns though.

I hope to play with it some more.  I think a throw would be pretty done out of these.  I am finding that I favor the light mohair type yarns.

Before I leave you I wanted to share with you the flowers I made from coffee filters!!  Yeah, that's right!!!  Pinterest is once again to blame for this!!  I made these to my mom & dad's anniversary. I have more filters dyed to make some more for the kitchen.

Well...that's about it for now.  I have more housework to get done.

Stay Inspired!!!
Dawn

Shut the front door is right! I don't know where to start. At the end, because that's what I just saw...those flowers are coffee filters? NO WAY!!!! STFD! And that scarf you've created...STFD, STFD, STFD! I freakin' love it right along side of you!!!! Darn you...Monday morning, bright and early, I'll have to use my Mother's Day gift card from Hobby Lobby to get one too! I laughed at your comment about ripping the mohair. Oh dear, I can well imagine that's a "beyotch"! But only YOU would know there's a mistake anywhere in there...it's simply stunning! You always inspire us with your posts! I bet your scarf will be on Pinterest in NOOOOOO time. In fact, I might just be back later to get it and start the revolution! Hugs, Annette
