Yesterday a fellow hooker/knitter and I went to the Knit & Crochet Show in Concord, NC. We had a blast! Below are a couple of crocheted afghans which literally made my jaw drop!
This was so inspirational!! I saw granny squares and some awesome crochet as well as knitting.
Check out this owl!! He was crocheted over a large beach ball. Adorable!!
These skirts were layered and knit up in a linen yarn. I was eyeballing this really close!
My iPhone did an update yesterday, and I have to say, I am completely fascinated with the upgrade, especially to the camera. I have been snapping pictures all day until I completely drained the battery.
I took these at my dad's. His yard looks like a park!!
Now that is some true fall Carolina Blue sky!!
Mum's in the back yard! Aren't they pretty??!
Some kind of mold growing on some old wood.
Girlie looking extremely happy and enjoying the day!!
Leaves on the sidewalk....I love these colors!!
I have started writing up the pattern for the Laura's Wrap. So many of you have sent me messages through ravelry and this blog asking for a pattern....well it is in the works now!! In order for me to write up the pattern I have to actually sit down and knit one up as I go.
Time is flying by way too fast!!! The weeks are just speeding by. We have a lot of rain heading our way...so it looks like it may be a dark dreary Monday tomorrow. Oh well...

I ordered some Noro yarn and purchased the pattern for the leaves as I was "over the moon" for yours! I haven't had much time to crochet or knit as the weather is gorgeous here! Our Summer is what I call it! LOL! Here it's too hot to do much in the Summer. I also did some pumpkins up like you did...I know, I'm a shameless copycat when I find someone who's so talented. Thank you for your inspiration and I cannot wait for the Laura's wrap pattern! Yippee! I see other's doing shawls but nothing has really inspired me until I saw yours. It's your color combos that I adore! I did make a taller "yellow" pumpkin/squash so I do try to be a little original. LOL!
Your Dad's yard is gorgeous! Look at all those glorious colors...there it is again...color...gotta love it!
Thanks again for your blog and color sense. Please indicate what yarn you used in the Laura's Wrap as I want one just like it! Gorgeous!
Wow, those afghans at the show were stunning!!!! And your currrent knitting project is lovely!!

I always want to attend such events, but there are no such here, so may be I have to organize :) Those afghans are awesome!
Love the pics, Dawn! It was good running into you at the show. :)
I had fun with my mom, sister, niece and nephew. I enjoyed seeing all the displayed projects. They were all nice, and many were creative.

I am going to go to one of those shows if there is ever one any closer to southern Indiana. It looks like I could get lost there.
Oh, I wanted to go to this show so bad but didn't want to go by myself! :-( Maybe next year. Love the "flag" afghan!
I just found your blog and love it! I was also in Concord for the show, and was so excited to meet Mikey and Diva Dan!!!!
L♥♥ve your COLOR ! ! ! !
Knitting is my PASSION at the moment and it has kept me away from reading my fave blogs.
Had to have a "fix" this morning and am visiting some the your blog posts that I've missed along the way.
Your crocheting is just the very best and inspiring. Gets my creative juices just the boost they enjoy. Thanks for all the loveliness
hugs
That red, white and blue afghan is amazing! What a fun place to spend the day getting inspiration. Your Laura's wrap is stunning as well! Well done.
You seem to have had a wonderful experience – you attended a crochet shows, a good update on your phone, and captured beautiful pictures. But in all of this, the mold in the wood seems to have put a damper on things. I just hope it will stay there and not spread out to your house.

The red white and blue afghan is stunning, is there any info on a source for the pattern?
Thanks,
