Hearts, Roosters and Flowers, oh my!

Whatyathink?  I like it.  My favorite part of the whole thing is the vintage spool dangling at the bottom.
For the heart I crocheted a granny square than filled the two sides with triple crochets to form the heart.  I made two of these and then crocheted them together.
The spool of thread came out of my grandma's sewing box.  I have a couple more picked out to do some more of these.

So there you have it!  I just love these roosters, and the hearts look so cute with them.  I would like to make more, but have been finding it hard to get going. There is so much going on in my little world right now.  My mother-in-law is not doing well at all, and it's been so tough on my husband making decisions no one wants to make.  I think it will be a while before things return to normal.

I am working on a pretty little cowl that is pretty close to being finished.  I am hoping to get some pictures to post of it this weekend.
Hoping everyone is having a great week!

I'm so sorry to hear that things aren't going well with mother-in-law. My prayers are with you both.

Your hangers are fabulous! I love how you put so many things together for that vintage look. Your roosters are to dye for!

Fabulous with a sweet touch of folk art feel to them. The spool of thread at the end is the icing on the cake for me.

Lovely, lovely pretty things. Very sorry to hear things are so difficult for you all right now. It's the hardest thing to do the right thing and it's harder to make yourself believe you did it right. All Good Wishes.
