I have decided that I am meant for this vacation thing. Even though I am not going anywhere, just being at home and having time to do the things I love doing has been wonderful!!! Unfortunately, the week is going by way too fast!
So, what have I been doing? Well, take a look see!
A new rug has been started! And I already love it!! This idea has been floating around in my head for quite some time, and I am just now working it out. No pattern, making it up as I go! I am wanting a real patchwork look. And of course, my favorite, PLENTY OF RED! I imagine this rug will be around long after I am gone from this earth, which is kinda cool to think about!
I have started receiving requests on how this is done. It is called Shirret. You can learn all about it by clicking above. Although it is an old craft, the ideas and patterns the website offers gives the whole thing a really 'groovy' spin! I will warn you, once you get started, it's hard to hold back...truly addictive!
I have also begun work on another custom order for a bag. And I am love'n this yarn. The color is new, called "tuti fruiti".
Agree??! It is so nice to be using a crochet hook once again. The wrap I have been working on has me totally burned out on knitting for the moment! I can never tire of granny squares. This bag will be a tad larger than the others I have done, and of course, have a heavy duty crocheted lining! The custom order was requested to be done by the 11th, so I am busily crocheting squares this afternoon, doing my best to make the deadline! This yarn is gorgeous. If you happen to use this cotton, it will spoil you from all others!
One other thing about being on vacation, cooking supper isn't a dreaded chore for me! I have a big pot of spaghetti sauce going now, and it smells so good. I'm going to have a happy hubby this evening!
