Decisions!

So, I am working on a custom order for a granny square skirt, and the request is for bright colors of pinks with some oranges and a dash of green thrown in. I have been playing with yarn for the past week and I'm struggling. I am normally do not have such a hard time with these things, but I'm just not feeling it yet.

I like the brights.... but

I also love using black, but not sure I like these colors combined with the black.

So, can anyone help me out??

When taking a break from the grannies, I whipped up this pretty little crocheted scarf. I used a yarn that was given to me by a friend who brought it back from a trip to China. The yarn has a silky feel to it, with a soft fuzzy thing going on. It's really very soft and snuggly.

With the cold snap we have been going through (17 degrees this morning) it has felt really good!!

I would love to help you, but this time I don't even know what to say... it's a hard choice to make.

The fuzzy scarf is gorgeous, it looks so warm and soft, perfect for those cold days!

I would go with the colors in the first picture, except leave out the light blue yarn. Just stick with the brights, no black unless the client specifically asked for black.

That's going to be some skirt!

The scarf looks delicious!

Well, here is where I got that pattern: http://www.pingouin.com.br/receitas/receitas3.php?gRecOutrasIdInt=275&gReceitaIdInt=33

The only problem is that it's all in Porguese... there is a graphic for the motif and the stitch pattern, but all the instructions are in Portuguese.

I wonder if you can translate the page... I could help you if you have questions about it.

I know it has been a while since you made this skirt. It is stunning and my daughter wants me to make her one. Do you remember what kind of yarn you used? For the waist did you just decrease until you got the size you wanted or did you use elastic or something like that? It really is beautiful.
