Ladies & Gentlemen...My First Sweater!

Yes, it has been in hibernation for quite some time! I was reunited with the pieces of this sweater as I was digging through a basket of yarn...there it lay, neglected and unfinished. I felt bad for it...so out it came. And my God! It took no time at all to sew the pieces together! I basically had it done!

Aint it pretty?

I especially like the bell sleeves!

It is a little bit large on me, but I don't even care! I love it! Can't wait to wear it!
The yarn is yummy!

I cannot believe it has taken me so long to pick this back up again. I think it is because I was a bit intimidated in assembling it and a bit critical of my knitting. We must strive not to be so hard on ourselves! Lesson Learned! Like anything else in life you just get in there and tackle it.
I am so proud of it I can't stand myself! I have been jonesing all day to share it with my bloggy friends! Yes, there are a couple blips in it here and there...but just look at it. It's just so darn pretty!!!

I am off of here for now. Ready to enjoy my evening and relax a bit!

Wow! You should be proud of yourself! That is beautiful! The sooner you can wear it, the happier I'll be since that will mean cooler weather!

It is wonderful, we are our own worst critics, you have to share once you wear it.

It's lovely - lovely colours in that yarn, lovely texture too - it won't matter at all if it is a bit big as that sort of sweater isn't meant to "fit" is it?

Do you shop at Common threads? I want to pay a vist to check it out but so far I have not made it to the shop. I looked for it one day but could not find the shop. I am not that familiar with High point. I was coming from Greensboro and most of the time when I visit High Point I come up 311.

Wow, that's fantastic! Just the reminder I needed, too, to get cracking on a sweater I'm starting.
