Ok, maybe just a couple words. Yes, I have been making coffee filter flowers this weekend. I have this fan that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, and I decided to use it along with the flowers, and also a pair of pretty chopsticks. I love Oriental, in fact I have always been fascinated with the culture. I am on the lookout for a pretty tea box to just as a container, I think it would set it off beautifully. Of course, I threw a little crochet in there. Circles I have been playing with. I'm not sure what I think of it yet...it's a little "pop artish".
That's it for now...no more words. LOL...enjoy the pictures!

Loom Flowers - Oh My!!
Greetings! Phoebe and I are enjoying a little bit of down time on the back porch. I had come out here to take some pictures of my newest scarf (pictured) and she followed me. Such a pretty girl!! And beautiful against a backdrop of purples!
So here is what I have been up to lately. Yes, that little square loom I showed in a previous post created a monster!!! I was so happy to get so many comments pointing me in the direction of patterns and ideas!! Thank you all for that! And if that weren't enough I went to pinterest and did a search for "flower looms". O-M-G!!! The inspiration was unbelievable. So, last week I came home from Hobby Lobby with the coolest loom kit in hand. It had squares, circles and octagons in all different sizes.
Now mind you, it is full of mistakes, but I still love it. I used this mohair I had since SAFF of two years ago. I really like it paired with the purple. Only problem, if you make a boo-boo it's a bitch (yeah I said it!) to pull it out!!
I freak-in love it! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! And it is so feather light. I know the first day of summer isn't even here, but I kinda wish it were fall so I can start to wear it.
I can't stop taking pictures of it!
I am totally out of control!!!
I have done a little experimenting with some different yarns with the looms.
I kinda like the orange one on the bottom.
Not so sure about the variegated yarns though.
I hope to play with it some more. I think a throw would be pretty done out of these. I am finding that I favor the light mohair type yarns.
Before I leave you I wanted to share with you the flowers I made from coffee filters!! Yeah, that's right!!! Pinterest is once again to blame for this!! I made these to my mom & dad's anniversary. I have more filters dyed to make some more for the kitchen.
Well...that's about it for now. I have more housework to get done.

This is why I crochet!
Here is just a little teaser of what I have been working on! My latest addiction, the African Flower Motif!
So you ready??
Sure??
I'm so excited!
Just check it out!!!
My new knitting bag!! Isn't it awesome??!! :-) I have been on vacation this week, and in between the running and eating out, I was able to finish my bag. I can't stand it. I keep petting it LOL!!!
I absolutely love the shape. Boy, what a challenge. If I had to do it again, I would do it just a little different but just in the construction, the colors are so me.
The inside is completely lined, and I added a pocket. In fact, you could actually flip it inside out and use it. Doubling the grannies also makes it nice and durable.
I used this bright orange vintage button, and I made the little flap in the shape of an octagon.
It's so freakin cool! I can't wait until Wednesday night knitting so I can show it off. The Girlz are gonna poop their pants when they see it! LOL!!
Check out my new scissors! I made a little butterfly scissor fob to go with it. I used embroidery thread.
It's just too groovy to stand it. LOL! They go perfectly with my new bag, too.
I wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate all the links and information given to me on the wonder loom I posted last week!! I have a book on it coming from etsy, can't wait to get it! I also have the pattern ready for the Owlie Mini Key Pouch done and available in my etsy shop!
I hope everyone has a great week, it's back to the grindstone for me. :(
