It's not often I get frustrated with something, but working on these fingerless gloves has done it for me! I have knit and ripped I know at least five times. I cannot get the pattern right. I know I am counting stitches correctly, so now I am beginning to think it may be the pattern. Drats!! I was so excited to get started on these, and love the yarn, too.
So, here it is. In all it's glory. I have abandoned it for the time being until my expert sock knitting buddy can take a look at it and see what she can make of it.
With idle hands driving me nuts I picked this ball of yarn I have been hoarding to cast on for another neck warmer.
I splurged when buying this yarn awhile back. Since there is not enough for a scarf, a neck warmer will do just perfectly. Love'n the colors and the beads in the yarn, and have the perfect retro button I am contemplating about!
I'm off to get the day started. Much to do. A birthday party, grocery run, visit with a friend, and get some laundry worked in there, too! Oh, and of course, some knitting time this evening.
Hasta la vista, baby!

Greetings Yarnsters! Just had to show you my newest neck warmer. Yes it's me again modeling it...I desperately need to gain access to a live model other than myself! Had to snap it this morning with the flash (which I usually avoid...but the dark gray morning forces me to!) Once the sun comes back out I may try to get some better pics.
I made this warmer in one of my favorite ways. Scrappies. Little bits and pieces of yarn I just can't bring myself to get rid of. It is so fun to knit and change colors randomly. I don't even mind weaving in all the ends. As you can see it's full of color and texture, and I topped it off with a couple of vintage buttons from my button tin.
I'm such a happy camper today. No back pain. This winter has been hard on my back...when that cold damp air sets in I can tell it. Once it's here I'm fine!
I have a new custom order from my etsy shop to begin once I find the right yarn. Yay! I don't get many custom orders, so I love it when one comes my way. It's for a granny square bag! I can't wait to get that first square done. You know I do love me some grannies!
So for now, I'll be on my way...doing that Wednesday thang! Ta-Ta!

Happy Friday
Hello Bloggy Friends. Wishing everyone a happy Friday. So looking forward to the weekend. Phoebe is going to the groomers, I hope to get the house cleaned, and then settle in with a new project with some killer yarn!
How do you like the neck warmer? I love it! A friend from knitting group has become addicted to spinning and showed up Tuesday night with some gorgeous yarn for all of us to try out! I had just enough to knit up this little neck warmer. It goes perfectly with my brown hooded sweater!

More Wrist Warmers
Hey Yarn Lovers! Just taking a moment to show off my second pair of wrist warmers. Oh, I do love em...they are fun to make and wear! They work up quick and give me instant knitting gratification.
I am jumping off making these to knit up a little neck warmer/collar from some homespun yarn gifted to my by a girl in our knitting club! It's looking cute so far. I have some pretty vintage buttons to adorn it when I get it done.
For now, it's time to do the dinner dishes and settle in with some knitting and evening t.v.

Wrist Warmers
I am so excited to share these with you! I love em, love em, love em! I can't take them off.
Aren't they pretty?
I found this pattern while lurking around ravelry and immediately knew I would have a pair for myself. You can find the pattern here. I have already begun my second pair. This pair I am using some fun fur and pretty red silk. I think they will be awesome! My hands are toasty warm, but my fingers are free to do more knitting...what more could a girl ask for?
It's been a busy week with work and dealing with the nasty weather. We woke up this morning to another blanket of snow! This is three weekends in a row now! Fortunately the roads are clear now and much of the snow is melted.
Wishing all my blogster buds a great weekend! I am off to my yarn now.

Yea! All Done!
Got em done, and they are ready to go to the yoga girl who asked if I would make these for her! I am so pleased with how these turned out...and it has fueled the fire for me to attempt a pair of socks for myself (with heels and toes)!
I'm off to start on my next project...what ever that may be! LOL! ;0)

Yoga Sock
Well I got one done, and one more than halfway there! My hat is off to all those sock knitters...it is a definite skill. I can't imagine what it would be like to do a heel. These are so simple with the open toe and heel. I am seriously considering doing a pair of socks with toes and heels for myself, just so I can say, "I made these socks myself!" I can also say, I am liking this magic loop technique. No dropped stitches and fumbling with double points. I should be done with these by this week and can snap some pictures of the completed pair!
Not sure what's next on my list. I have a cute pattern for some fingerless gloves in crochet with sock yarn that I have been eyeing. But that will require a trip to Hobby Lobby for some more sock yarn!
Before I sign off let me share of picture of Phoebe...hating the thought of going in the snow.
This winter weather is really getting to me. I don't like it. It's too cold, the roads are terrible keeping me home and housebound, and getting to work in the morning has been a major challenge. Oh Spring...I can't wait for you to get here!
