Crochet Chicken Penny Rug!

Chicken Love!!!  Who doesn't love a penny rug???

How about some Chicken Love???  I have been busy working on this little penny rug.  I love working on these.  Especially when I have no plan....just a little inspiration.
Notice the little chick!!  And the nest!!   Actually the whole thing started by crocheting a rooster, then I got the idea of adding a little chick....or as we call them here in the south a "bitty".  Hens & Bitties!
The rest is history!!
Placed in the seat of this old chair it looks totally awesome!  Way to pretty to sit on.  I love crochet like this because it is more like folk art.

I have slowed way down on my crochet.  Had problems with my hands and shoulder, then a wonderful week of the flu.  Good Lord!!  I am finally getting back to my creative side....it has been missing for a while now!

So now I have an idea for a hootie penny rug, and in the mood to start at it.  So I think a movie will be on this evening and I will be doing some crochet!

Yay!!!

They Just Belong Together...

Don't you think??  I do.  Crocheted pennies, and crocheted roosters, all together with my Rooster Box (I did years ago).  I guess you can see where I got the idea for my rooster ornaments now!

I love crocheting these circles.  Yes, I have a plan for them, you'll see it eventually!!  For now, I will share a couple of pictures.
Oh, the color, it makes me all giddy!!!!
Good Friday evening to all.  It's time for pizza and movies!

Ruh Roh!

Oh my...I blinged out my little rooster with some buttons and embroidery.  Doesn't he look grand???  Especially against the cocheted pennies I have been doing.  I'm not sure what I am going to do with these pennies yet.  I saw some penny rugs at the craft show this weekend and really was drawn to how "folk arty" they look.  I work on these in the morning when I get up and drinking my tea...such a nice way to start the day!

Hootie pattern is just about ready for testing.  It looks like Saturday, when I can get some good pictures to go with it.
